Perfect Circle hitting the right note in Kidderminster

Kidderminster 2 2096

Progress of the refurbishment of Kidderminster’s heritage Town Hall and Piano Building is racing ahead.

Gleeds, commissioned through Perfect Circle by Kidderminster Town Council and Wyre Forest District Council, is delivering both projects via the SCAPE Consultancy frameworks.

The Town Hall project will create more flexible spaces, achieved by the introduction of an atrium roof over a new central courtyard with café. A further café space will front onto Weavers Wharf with a glazed frontage while the upgraded Music Hall will have a dedicated foyer, and a larger stage supported by new theatre lighting and speakers. A podium will cover the stepped entrances to increase the accessibility and better integrate the restored venue with the town’s public realm.

A reimagined mixed use Piano Building will introduce flexible office space, food, beverage and leisure uses alongside the canal. Activity will spill out onto an improved public square through new entrances along the façade. The diversity of uses will cater for a wider audience and encourage footfall to circulate between the surrounding destinations.

“When completed the Town Hall and Piano Building will be a brilliant asset at the heart of the community, leaving an invaluable legacy for generations to come.”
